Happy New Year!

an old journal
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15-16

With the New Year come new goals. One of my goals for myself this year is to make the most of my time. Among other things, I want to spend time reading the Bible, journaling on what I'm reading, and journaling my prayers - this is pen and paper journal, not blog-style.

I have read through the Bible several times in my life, but only once since Nate was born. This year, I was reading it chronologically, but I lost my momentum somewhere in Texas when our schedule was so weird. I have started it back up again every time Nate goes back to school from breaks. Then when he's on break and our schedule is weird, I lose it again. I saw this on Pinterest this week and decided that is a good solution for me.

Read through the Bible in 100 days.

It's a quick pace, for sure! The blogger says that the quick pace helps her stay motivated. It's just about the same length as the first term of school. Do I have time in the day to read 1% of the Bible each day? I will if I'm disciplined in time management. It will be a challenge, but I think I'm up for it!

    1. I think I will do at least one update post. The blogger who posted the plan will be hosting link-ups throughout the 100 days.

  2. That is a fast pace for sure, but I can see where it would keep you motivated. I'm looking forward to seeing how you do! -Jess @ www.sweetlittleonesblog.com / sweetlittleonesblog@gmail.com

P.S. What is your blog's email address? I wanted to reply back to a comment you made on mine, but I can't find it! :)

    1. So far so good! I love that I only have 4 or 5 days instead of 2 or 3 weeks in the longer books. That visible progress is motivating me.
